Esports betting API: CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant

Esports bettors are young, mobile and in-play. How esports markets work title by title, what bettors like in each region, and how esports bets settle through the SoftAggregator sportsbook and your wallet.

In short. An esports betting API gives your sportsbook odds on Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant and more. At SoftAggregator esports is part of the managed sportsbook: one integration, pre-match and live markets, and settlement through your seamless wallet.

What is an esports betting API?

An esports betting API gives a sportsbook odds and bet acceptance on professional video game competitions — Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant and more — with pre-match and in-play markets, settlement and a wallet connection. At SoftAggregator, esports is part of the managed sportsbook behind our sports betting API: the same integration, the same seamless wallet, and the trading done on our side.

Esports is the one betting vertical where the audience grew up online. The fans watch matches on Twitch and YouTube, know the players by nickname, and bet on their phones while the stream runs. Operators who serve them well win a young, loyal and very active segment that traditional football-only books tend to miss.

The titles that carry esports betting

A handful of games produce most of the betting volume. Each has its own structure, and the structure decides the markets.

  • Counter-Strike 2. The largest betting title. Matches are best-of-one or best-of-three maps, each map played to 13 rounds in the current format, with overtime when tied. Rounds, pistol rounds and map totals give the book many markets. Enormous following in the CIS, Europe and Brazil.
  • Dota 2. Long, strategic games with huge tournaments. Markets include map winner, first blood, kills handicap and game duration. Strong in the CIS, Southeast Asia and South America, where the pro scene has devoted fans.
  • League of Legends. The most watched esport worldwide, with regional leagues in Korea, China, Europe and North America and a global World Championship. Popular markets: map winner, first dragon or baron, total kills.
  • Valorant. Riot’s tactical shooter, rounds-based like Counter-Strike, fast-growing since its international league launched.
  • Mobile titles. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile dominate in Southeast Asia and South Asia, where most players have never owned a gaming PC.
  • eFootball and eBasketball. Short matches between real players on football and basketball video games, played in continuous tournament formats. They fill the betting calendar and are a favourite of in-play bettors.

Our sportsbook covers the biggest esports titles and tournaments. The exact list of events changes every week with the competitive calendar, and the feed you receive is always the current one.

What makes esports different for an operator

Esports looks like any other sport in the feed, but running it well asks for attention to a few points that football does not raise.

  • In-play dominates. A large share of esports bets are placed during the match, often between rounds or between maps. Fast price updates and short bet-acceptance delays make the product feel alive.
  • Streams are public. Everyone watches the same broadcast, sometimes with a delay. A managed trading team suspends markets around key moments so that nobody bets on something already visible on the stream.
  • Series structure. A best-of-three can last three hours. Map-by-map markets keep bettors engaged across the whole series instead of only before it starts.
  • The calendar never stops. Major tournaments, regional leagues and qualifiers run all year, across every time zone.
  • A different audience. Younger, mobile-first, often crypto-friendly, and used to fast interfaces. The book they see should load quickly on a phone.

Because the trading is managed on our side — odds compilation, suspension, limits and settlement — you get the product without staffing an esports trading desk.

What bettors like in each market

  • CIS and Eastern Europe: Counter-Strike and Dota 2 above all, with deep live markets and many local teams.
  • Brazil and Latin America: Counter-Strike, Free Fire and League of Legends, with loud fan communities around national teams.
  • Southeast Asia and the Philippines: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Dota 2; the mobile first approach is a must.
  • India, Bangladesh and Pakistan: a fast-growing mobile esports audience, next to cricket, which remains the anchor of the book.
  • Korea and China-facing audiences: League of Legends first, with StarCraft history still visible in the fan base.

How esports bets move through your wallet

Esports runs on the same seamless-wallet model as the rest of our platform: the money stays with you, and we call your endpoint when it has to move. What changes is the time between the two ends of a bet.

  • Placement. The stake is debited when the bet is accepted — a GET call with a unique call_id, the amount in minor units and the player’s currency. Reply with the new balance.
  • Waiting. The bet stays open until the market is resulted. For a series bet, that can be hours; your wallet should hold the bet as open rather than expecting a quick answer.
  • Settlement. A winning bet produces a credit when the result is confirmed. A lost bet ends without a credit.
  • Cancellations. If a match is abandoned or a market is voided, the reversal comes flagged rb=1, and you process it as a normal movement.

Signatures, error codes and the full callback contract are in the API documentation. The project steps of a sportsbook launch — identity, wallet, settlement, history — are laid out in our sportsbook API integration guide.

Launching esports betting step by step

  1. Request operator access and receive your keys. The same keys cover casino and sportsbook.
  2. Point your wallet callback URL at your endpoint and test stakes and payouts in the sandbox.
  3. Put Esports in your sportsbook navigation next to football and cricket, not hidden in “Other sports”.
  4. Promote around the big tournaments: the calendar is public and the fan base plans ahead.
  5. Cross-sell carefully: esports bettors are often interested in crash and instant games, which share the same fast, mobile rhythm. See the crash games API.

Currencies for an esports book

Esports bettors are spread across every region, so a book that shows their own currency wins on trust. Native currencies include USD, EUR, RUB, BRL, TRY, PHP, IDR, VND, THB, INR, BDT, PKR, KRW and CNY, among others. For a currency outside the native set, your account runs in USD or EUR and you convert on your side; tell us which currency you need and we will look at it. Coverage and currencies evolve continuously, and the live feed is always the reference.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add esports betting to my sportsbook?

Integrate the SoftAggregator sports betting API. Esports is part of the managed sportsbook, with pre-match and live markets; stakes and payouts reach your wallet through our GET callbacks.

Which esports can my players bet on?

The sportsbook covers the biggest esports titles and tournaments, typically Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant, with the schedule following the competitive calendar.

Do I need my own esports traders?

No. Odds compilation, market suspensions during live play, limits and settlement are managed on our side.

Why is esports in-play betting so popular?

Because fans bet while they watch the stream, map after map. Series last hours and offer many moments to bet on, such as each map, round or first objective.

How long do esports bets stay open?

Until the market is resulted. A single-map bet may settle in under an hour; a series or tournament bet can stay open much longer. The credit is sent when the result is confirmed.

Is eFootball the same as virtual football?

No. eFootball matches are played by real people on a video game and bet on like live events. Virtual football is an RNG result rendered as an animation.
