What is a live game shows API?

A live game shows API connects your casino to studio-hosted entertainment formats such as Crazy Time, Monopoly Live and Dream Catcher: a presenter, a giant wheel or board, bonus rounds with multipliers, and thousands of players watching the same spin. The API lists the shows, returns a launch link, and reports every stake and every payout to your wallet. Game shows are the most television-like product in online gambling. They recruit players who would never sit at a blackjack table, and they keep them for longer sessions than most slots. For an operator they are also a marketing asset: a 20,000x Crazy Time result is a clip that travels on social media by itself.

How a money wheel show works

Almost every game show is built on the same skeleton: bet on segments, spin, pay or trigger a bonus. The personality of each show comes from what happens in the bonus.

• The wheel. A vertical wheel, often with 54 segments, carrying numbers (which pay their face value) and bonus segments. Players bet on one or several of them before the timer ends.
• The pre-spin multiplier. Many shows add a random boost before the main spin. In Crazy Time, the Top Slot aligns a bet spot with a multiplier; in Dream Catcher, 2x and 7x segments multiply the next spin.
• The bonus round. Landing on a bonus segment opens a second game: a board, a coin toss, a shooting gallery, a pachinko wall, a candy-drop machine. Only players who bet on that bonus take part, and it can last well over a minute.
• The payout. Settled when the round, including any bonus, is over.

• Dream Catcher — Evolution. The original money wheel of live casino (2017): simple, no bonus game, only numbers and multiplier segments. Still the easiest show for a new player to understand.
• Mega Wheel and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand — Pragmatic Play Live. Mega Wheel adds a boosted “mega” number each round; Sweet Bonanza CandyLand brings the look of the famous slot into a live studio with three bonus games.
• Funky Time, Deal or No Deal Live, Adventures Beyond Wonderland and others. Studios keep adding formats because the audience keeps growing.

The appeal of a game show is not the same everywhere, and a lobby that reflects that converts better.

• Europe and the UK-style audience treat shows as evening entertainment: brand recognition (Monopoly, Deal or No Deal) and the presenter carry the experience.
• Latin America loves the colour and energy; Spanish and Portuguese-speaking hosts make a visible difference in session length.
• India, Bangladesh and South Asia favour quick wheels with small entry stakes, and players often move between a game show, Andar Bahar and Aviator in the same session.
• Turkey, the CIS and the Middle East show strong interest in big multipliers: the promise of a four- or five-digit multiplier drives the first bet.

The wallet side: several bets in, payouts later

Game shows are where a wallet built only for slots gets surprised. In a slot, one spin is one debit and at most one credit, a second apart. In a show, the pattern is different, and your endpoint should expect it.

• Several stakes per round. A player who covers “1”, “10” and two bonuses may generate several debit calls within the same betting window, all carrying the same round_id. Accept each on its own call_id.
• Late credits. When a bonus is triggered, the payout comes only after the bonus has been played out on camera. A minute or more between debit and credit is normal. Do not treat an open round as an error.
• Rounds with no credit. If none of the player’s segments come up, the round simply ends with no callback.
• Rollbacks. If a studio voids a round, you receive the reversal flagged with rb=1; process it like any other debit or credit.

All callbacks are GET requests to the URL you register per website, signed with a timestamp and a salt_key hash, and your endpoint replies HTTP 200 every time, reporting the outcome in the JSON body. Putting game shows in your lobby

1. Pull the catalogue with getGameList and filter on game_type: live; game shows are live content.
2. Separate shows from card and roulette tables by name. A “Game shows” row is standard in modern lobbies and is where new players land first.
3. Launch with the player’s currency and device=mobile on phones; shows are designed for portrait play.
4. Put the next big show events in your CRM: a new format or a weekend multiplier is a reason to message players.
