Why we built a sportsbook of our own

Operators kept asking us the same thing: they had our casino catalogue running, and wanted a sportsbook next to it without signing a second contract, building a second wallet integration and learning a second back office. Renting one from a third party would have solved the front end and nothing else. The prices, the margins and the decision to take or refuse a bet would still have belonged to somebody else.

So we wrote it. Nocturn Sport has its own rating models, its own pricing engine, its own bet acceptance and settlement, and its own front end. When you ask us why a price moved, or ask for a tighter margin on the leagues your players actually bet on, the answer comes from the people who run the engine.

What your players can bet on

Twelve sports and esports are on the board today. Each one gets the markets its fans expect, not a generic winner-only line copied across every sport.

Coverage keeps growing league by league. What we will not do is put a sport on the board before our model prices it well enough to stand behind.

Odds calculated in-house, not copied

Every team and player carries a rating that we update after each result. For football we turn ratings into expected goals and derive the 1X2, totals and handicaps from the same distribution, so the lines agree with each other. Tennis, basketball and the esports titles each have their own model, because a best-of-three on clay and a best-of-five in League of Legends do not behave alike.

On top of the fair price sits a margin we control market by market. Thin markets get more protection than a headline derby, and a two-way line where one side would fall under a sensible minimum price is closed rather than offered at a silly number. Stake and payout limits are set per sport and per market type, and combinations are capped at the strictest leg, so your exposure on a quiet league stays small.

Because the engine is ours, these are settings, not feature requests to a supplier. If your players are mostly on one football league, or mostly on Counter-Strike, tell us and we tune the book for it.

Pre-match and live

Pre-match markets open days ahead and close shortly before kick-off. Live matches stay on the board with the running score, and prices are re-quoted from the match state while it is safe to take bets; when it is not, the market locks instead of taking a stale price. In esports, betting reopens between maps, once the previous map is confirmed finished.

The bet slip handles singles and combos, shows the potential win before the player confirms, and lets players accept higher odds automatically if a price improves while they are placing the bet. Settlement is automatic once the result is in.

32 languages, fiat and crypto, built for the phone

The interface is translated into 32 languages, sport and market names included, with Arabic and Persian laid out right to left. Players can bet in more than 70 currencies: euro, dollar, pound, lira, rupee, taka, birr and the other fiat currencies our operators work with, plus USDT, USDC, BTC (also shown in mBTC or satoshis), ETH, LTC, TRX, DOGE, SOL, XRP, BNB and TON, each with the right number of decimals.

Most sports bets are placed on a phone, so the mobile layout is not a shrunken desktop: a bottom bar for sports, live, search, my bets and the slip, and a slip that slides up when you need it.
