4ThePlayer API: slots with timed bonuses, player-placed wilds and big portrait reels
4ThePlayer is a London studio that treats each release as a chance to try a new rule: free spins measured in seconds, wilds the player places, games that change with the calendar. SoftAggregator gives you its catalogue through the same single API and seamless wallet as every other studio we carry.
Is there a 4ThePlayer API for operators?
Yes, in the sense that matters for a casino: 4ThePlayer games can be listed, launched and settled through the SoftAggregator API, with no separate studio integration. The same callback that pays out any other slot pays out a 4ThePlayer win.
The rest of this page explains why these games feel different to players, and what, if anything, that changes for your wallet. Short version: the novelty is inside the game, and your integration stays standard.
A young studio built by veterans
4ThePlayer was founded in 2018 in London by Andrew Porter, Chris Ash, Thomaz Scalzilli and Henry McLean, who between them had decades of experience in the gaming industry. They set out to be a challenger brand, competing on ideas rather than on release volume.
The approach earned recognition quickly. In 2022 the studio won the Innovation in Slot Provision award at the EGR B2B Awards, and in the same year it was named Outperforming Game Studio of the Year (small) at the CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards.
The 4ThePlayer mechanics players talk about
As described by the studio; details vary by title.
| Mechanic | Seen in | What changes for the player |
|---|---|---|
| WILD CHOICE | 6 Wild Sharks (4,096 ways) | The player adds locked wilds to the reels in the Wild Zone, shaping the game's risk |
| Win Time | 60 Second Heist | Free spins are awarded as time, so faster play means more spins in the bonus |
| Future Power | 7 Elements | The game evolves with the calendar, letting players unlock and collect enhancements over days |
| Big Reel Portrait mode | Many recent titles | Reels use up to about 70% of a portrait phone screen |
Why the numbered titles stick in players' heads
4ThePlayer names many of its games with a number: 3 Secret Cities, 4 Fantastic Fish, 6 Wild Sharks, 90k Yeti. It is a small branding trick, but it helps: players remember the titles, and a row of them in a lobby looks like a series.
Underneath, each game carries a different hook. 6 Wild Sharks lets players decide how aggressive the reels should be. 60 Second Heist turns the bonus into a race against the clock. 7 Elements rewards coming back on different days. The common thread is agency: the player does something, rather than only pressing spin.
Portrait mode and the phone lobby
Big Reel Portrait mode is one of the clearest reasons to feature 4ThePlayer for mobile traffic. On a phone held upright, the reels take most of the screen instead of sitting in a small landscape box with black bars above and below.
To get the benefit, launch with device=mobile, size your iframe to the full viewport height, and keep your own header or chat widget out of the lower part of the screen. The difference in comfort is visible on the first spin.
Wallet behaviour: time-based and choice-based features
None of the 4ThePlayer mechanics needs wallet-side logic. Win Time, WILD CHOICE and Future Power are all run by the game; your platform only sees signed GET callbacks for balance, debit and credit, with amounts in minor units.
- Timed bonuses. During a Win Time bonus the game may play many spins quickly. They pay as credits, often without a debit in the same round, so accept credits on signature and player, not on a matching bet.
- Player choices. When a choice changes the cost of a spin, the debit amount changes too. Do not assume a constant stake per session.
- Returning features. Calendar-based progress is stored by the game, not by your wallet.
- Reliability. Deduplicate on
call_id, applyrb=1rollbacks once, and always answer HTTP 200 witherror0, 1 or 2 as documented.
Full parameter lists and signature rules (md5(timestamp + salt_key), 30-second window) are in the SoftAggregator API docs.

One integration for boutique innovators
Studios like 4ThePlayer are exactly why operators use an aggregator. Few casinos would sign and integrate a small innovative studio on its own; through our casino game aggregator API it comes with the rest of 40,000+ games from 200+ providers, settled by the callback you already have.
4ThePlayer: direct integration vs SoftAggregator
| Topic | SoftAggregator | Direct with the studio |
|---|---|---|
| Extra engineering for 4ThePlayer | None once the wallet exists | A full studio integration |
| Mix with volume studios | Same catalogue call | Separate projects |
| Money visibility | Prepaid credit, live bar, alerts | Invoices after the fact |
| Reporting | Bets, wins, RTP%, GGR per game and player, live | Studio back-office |
| Your other brands | Extra sites on one account, each with own keys | New set-up per brand |
The front is white-label, so players see your casino, and a sportsbook can share the same wallet. Integration support answers at any hour on Telegram @mentionso and [email protected]. For the broader logic of consolidating studios, read our game aggregator API overview.
Markets and currencies
4ThePlayer's audience is strongest in the UK and Europe, with its mobile focus making it a good fit for phone-heavy markets elsewhere. Native options include GBP, EUR, SEK, NOK, DKK, CAD, AUD, NZD, BRL, MXN, INR and ZAR. If your players use another currency, we keep the account in USD or EUR and your platform converts; ask us about it. Studios and currencies are added all the time, and the API always shows the current list.
4ThePlayer: what operators ask
Is there a 4ThePlayer API I can connect to?
You can reach 4ThePlayer games through the SoftAggregator API. It is one JSON endpoint for the whole catalogue: filter getGameList on the 4ThePlayer provider key, launch with getGame, and settle through your seamless-wallet callback.
How does Win Time settle in a seamless wallet?
Win Time gives the player a period of time instead of a set number of free spins, but the game runs that bonus on its own. Your wallet simply receives the resulting credits, usually with no debit of their own. No timer logic is needed on your side.
Do I need to do anything for WILD CHOICE in 6 Wild Sharks?
No. Placing locked wilds in the Wild Zone is a decision the player makes inside the game. If that choice changes the cost of the spin, you simply see a different debit amount; wins arrive as credits as usual.
Will 4ThePlayer games fill the screen on phones?
Many titles use Big Reel Portrait mode, which gives most of a portrait screen to the reels. Launch with device=mobile and let the game iframe use the full viewport to get the effect.
Which currencies work for 4ThePlayer players?
Players are created with one currency that stays with them. GBP, EUR, CAD, SEK, NOK, DKK, NZD, AUD, BRL and INR are among the native options. Other currencies are handled by keeping your account in USD or EUR while you show local amounts; contact us with your requirement.
