What are Asian live games?

“Asian live games” is the operator’s shorthand for the dealer games that Asian players grew up with in Macau, Manila, Cambodia and the old gambling houses of southern China: sic bo, dragon tiger, fan tan and their newer offspring such as Bac Bo or the Vietnamese disc game Xóc Đĩa. They are streamed from studios with real dealers, just like roulette or blackjack, and they are integrated through the same live casino API.

What sets them apart is pace and simplicity. A dragon tiger round is one card per side. A sic bo round is one shake of three dice. Players can follow dozens of rounds in a session, bet on patterns and trends, and switch tables in seconds. Sic bo: three dice, many bets

Sic bo, literally “precious dice”, is played with three dice shaken in a closed cage or bowl. Players bet on the result before the reveal.

• Big and Small. Small wins on a total of 4 to 10, Big on 11 to 17, both paying even money. Both lose on any triple, which is where the house edge of about 2.78% on these bets comes from.
• Totals. A bet on an exact total, with payouts rising for the rare totals such as 4 or 17.
• Doubles, triples and combinations. Specific pairs, a specific triple or “any triple”, and two-dice combinations.
• Single number. Pays according to how many of the three dice show the chosen number.

Live studios add their own twists. Evolution’s Super Sic Bo, for example, adds random multipliers to selected bet spots each round. Players in China and Vietnam follow the history board closely, so a table that displays the last results clearly is worth more than a prettier one that hides them.

Dragon tiger: the fastest card game in the lobby

Dragon tiger is baccarat reduced to its core: one card to Dragon, one to Tiger, highest card wins, with the king high and the ace low. A round takes under half a minute. The tie bet usually pays 8:1 or 11:1 depending on the table, and when a tie happens the Dragon and Tiger bets typically lose only half their stake. Many tables also offer a suited tie and side bets on odd, even, red or black cards.

Its audience overlaps with baccarat players, but it is even more mobile and even more pattern-driven. In Cambodia, Vietnam and among Chinese-speaking players, dragon tiger often ranks right behind baccarat in live play. Fan tan, Bac Bo and Xóc Đĩa

• Fan tan. One of the oldest Chinese games. The dealer covers a pile of beads with a bowl, then removes them four at a time; players bet on the remainder, 1, 2, 3 or 4. The slow counting is part of the show. Evolution brought it back as a live studio game with bets on single numbers, pairs and odd or even.
• Bac Bo. Evolution’s dice version of baccarat: Player and Banker each receive two dice instead of cards, and the higher total wins. It keeps the baccarat betting layout that Asian players know and adds the speed of dice.
• Xóc Đĩa (Se Die). The Vietnamese disc game: four discs, red on one side and white on the other, shaken under a bowl. Players bet on odd or even red faces or on specific counts. Very popular with Vietnamese players and increasingly offered by live studios targeting them.

What live Asian tables ask of your wallet

Two habits of Asian live players shape the callback traffic. First, multi-betting: a sic bo player often covers Big, a total and a double in the same round, which reaches your wallet as several debits sharing one round_id. Second, multi-tabling: the same player can follow two or three tables at once. Your balance must stay consistent across all of them, so lock per player rather than per game.

The betting timer is short. A debit answered slowly may arrive after the timer has closed, and the bet is then declined in front of the player. Keep the debit handler lean, and use getPlayerHistory when support needs to see how a round was settled.
